This desire to evoke other species in images is driven by different intentions: whether purely aesthetic, magical, religious or scientific, these representations lead us nowadays to examine the human impact on the planet as well as its relationship with the microbial, fungal, plant and animal agents that live there.<\/p>\n If Descartes’ thinking separated nature from humanity, the sciences of our century highlight the interdependence between different organisms including humans. Thus the inter-species entanglements that shape our world are revealed. By understanding that humans are part of an interconnected planetary system, we are learning to describe the various forms of relationships between the organisms in our biosphere. By unveiling the inter-species relations that shape our world we can recognize our place in nature and thus put an end to our anthropocentric drive towards the extinction of species and consequently that of humanity. <\/p>\n Beyond the Anthropocene, what will nature look like? \nWho are the organizers of the International Digital Miniprint Exhibition<\/em>?<\/strong>
\nThis exhibition is organized by Le Centre d\u2019artistes Voix Visuelle located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.<\/p>\n
\nAccording to fr.wikipedia, the designation \u201cestampe num\u00e9rique\u201d (digital print) refers to works where the computer is the principal design tool, used to create a matrix of digital data. A digital printer, generally ink jet, is then used to print the matrix on various media.<\/p>\n
\nThe image must not be bigger than 20 cm by 25 cm or 25 cm by 20 cm (8 in x 10 in or 10 in x 8 in).<\/p>\n
\nAn artist can submit one or two images.<\/p>\n
\nThe entry fee is CAD 30, which must be paid by Pay<\/span>Pal<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
\nVoix Visuelle will print the artwork on photo paper in the case of an exhibition in the space of the gallery.<\/p>\n
\nThe selection will be made by the curator of the exhibition.<\/p>\n
\nThe prizes and the mentions will be determined by an independent jury of peers.<\/p>\n
