Curated by\u00a0Katy\u00a0Le\u00a0Van,the exhibition will show artwork from Algeria, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic,\u00a0France, Hungary, Poland, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, Ukraine and United Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>The theme,\u00a0The Transformed Body, has inspired over forty\u00a0artists who portrayed the human body by detaching themselves from the constraints imposed by society, creating images that have a unique style. The performance was part of Viva! Her body of work, which explores the subject of the urban jungle and the expression of inner impulses, is therefore in close relation with her multidisciplinary path. Her digital prints and drawings show that art and science have a \u201ccommon denominator\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #666666;\"> <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #666666;\"><strong>Claire Lemay<\/strong>, who took part in the establishment of Atelier Zocalo, uses popular imagery to demonstrate how wood engraving evolved. Each of these sculptures lives at the frontiers of representation, functionalism and literal meaning. Their body is unassuming; the object, a little less voluble.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rzadkiewicz<\/strong> uses the outer shells of televisions and radios to compose scenarios which explore the dynamics at work in a culture shaped by electronic communications. He is filmed from head to toe, but shown in five different parts. The viewer\u2019s perception of the character is thus desynchronized, the latter evolving in lasting time.<\/em><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p>As for<strong> Casier <\/strong> &gt;, it includes 12 monitors showing 12 teenagers filmed for 3 minutes in front of a locker. Thus, she invites the observer to reflect on the<\/p>\n<p>formal components of the iron and the repetitive gesture associated with it.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #666666;\">On the other hand, <strong>Anne-Marie Sirois<\/strong> will exhibit a series of amusing sculptures<\/span><\/p>\n<p>made from old irons and other unusual objects found in flea markets.
